MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well established Practice based in Belfast , looking to recruit for a Qualified Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

A forward thinking Belfast based accountancy practice is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their team. The role will cover a varied mix of statutory and management accounts, tax compliance, client management and mentoring junior staff. With a strong focus on personalised advice, real-time reporting and cloud technology, the firm offers a modern approach to accountancy with a great client focused culture.

Job Duties of the Qualified Accountant Include:

• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key client facing contact.
• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts.
• Manage personal and corporate tax compliance and reviews.
• Lead client meetings and provide practical, commercial advice.
• Oversee, review and develop a team of junior accountants.
• Train and mentor junior staff, supporting their technical development.
• Build strong client relationships and take a proactive, advisory approach to client needs.

What You Need to be the Successful Accountant?

• ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE with strong practice experience.
• Experience in a small to mid-tier accountancy practice preferred.
• Strong Accounts background, with an interest in developing further into Tax.
• Client management experience desirable, with confidence dealing directly with business owners.
• Experience training or mentoring junior staff is highly desirable.
• ROI experience would be a strong advantage but not essential
• Commercial, personable and proactive, with a genuine interest in building strong client relationships.
