Accounts Assistant

MCS Group is partnering with a law firm in Belfast City Centre as they seek an Accounts Assistant on a full time, permanent basis.

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded commercial law firm based in Belfast, with a strong presence across Northern Ireland. The firm advises a diverse client base across a broad range of legal disciplines, including commercial and civil litigation, healthcare, and employment.

The successful candidate will join an established team in a professional and supportive working environment, with opportunities to work on a varied and interesting caseload.

The Rewards:

As the successful Accounts Assistant, you will receive:

• Life Insurance
• 20 days + 13 statutory days
• Flexibility on start and finish times if required
• Salary between £30,000-32,000
• Regular company events

The Role:

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:

• Monitor client and office bank accounts for incoming payments
• Process client and office receipts and payments
• Process bills to clients / external parties
• Input purchase ledger invoices
• Approve and process staff expenses
• Any other duties outlined in the job description

The Person:

The successful Accounts Assistant will meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience working in a transactional finance background
• Proficiency in finance software packages
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
