Louise Smyth

Louise brings over 30 years of leadership in Northern Ireland’s recruitment and talent sector. As co-owner of MCS Group, the region’s largest specialist recruitment firm, and sister brand Honeycomb Jobs, she is a trusted advisor across both private and public sectors.

A Fellow of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and CIPD member, Louise has extensive experience placing senior leaders across Public Sector bodies, Utilities, Transport, Energy, Consultancy Services, Finance and Healthcare, including Chief Executives, Finance and HR Directors, and Non-Executive Directors in the UK and Ireland. 

A recruitment trainer, coach and qualified psychometric assessor, Louise also actively inputs into the N.I region’s future workforce strategy through partnerships with the IOD, CBI, and CIPD, providing insights on skills needs, talent expectations, and future leadership trends. 

Her three-decade commitment to social mobility and employability includes work with Young Enterprise, Queen’s University Dragons’ Den, Women in Business, SistersIN, Action for Children, and the Social Mobility Partnership. Louise works with CEOs and executive boards to provide clear, strategic recruitment advice that aligns stakeholders and supports organisational change.
