The Opportunity
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing specialist consultancy as they look to appoint a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Consultant to join their expanding team.
Our client is an established consultancy specialising in third-party risk management, working with organisations across financial services and other regulated industries to help them identify, assess and manage supplier-related risks.
Following a significant increase in client demand, they're continuing to invest in their consulting team and are looking for someone with a solid foundation in TPRM who wants to develop their career in a varied, client-focused environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within a consultancy, financial services organisation or risk management function who wants greater exposure to projects, more responsibility and a clear route towards Senior Consultant.
What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside experienced consultants and senior leadership, you'll support the delivery of TPRM consulting engagements for a range of clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of third-party risk management consulting projects across multiple clients.
Assessing existing TPRM frameworks, processes and operating models, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Contributing to the design and implementation of supplier risk management frameworks.
Supporting transformation programmes, gap assessments and risk remediation initiatives.
Taking ownership of agreed project deliverables, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
Working closely with client stakeholders to understand challenges and recommend practical solutions.
Supporting regulatory compliance initiatives, particularly within financial services.
Collaborating with experienced consultants and contributing to the development of internal methodologies and best practices.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have 3-6 years of relevant experience within third-party risk management, consulting or supplier risk assurance.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Practical experience in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), supplier assurance or vendor risk.
Previous consulting or project delivery experience, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry.
Exposure to TPRM frameworks, supplier risk assessments, operating models or process improvement initiatives.
An understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, such as FCA, PRA or EBA guidance.
Experience working with clients, senior stakeholders or cross-functional project teams.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach, willingness to learn and confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
Previous consultancy experience is preferredl. We'd also welcome applications from candidates working within internal TPRM functions who have been involved in project delivery, transformation or process improvement.
You don't need to be a technical expert in every aspect of TPRM. What's important is a good foundation, a willingness to develop and the ability to contribute effectively to client projects.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
One of the biggest attractions of this business is the opportunity to develop your career within a specialist consultancy without some of the restrictions that can come with larger organisations.
You'll benefit from:
Salary of £55,000 - £65,000, depending on experience.
Genuine flexibility, with predominantly remote working and typically 1-2 days per week on-site when required.
Career progression, with a clear opportunity to develop towards Senior Consultant and beyond.
Varied project exposure, working with different clients and tackling a broad range of TPRM challenges.
Access to senior leadership, learning directly from experienced specialists within the industry.
Structured development, including dedicated mentoring, training and ongoing support.
Greater ownership and visibility, with the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a growing consultancy.
A supportive working environment, where individuals are trusted to manage their time and balance professional and personal commitments.
The Interview Process
The interview process will typically involve two stages, with a potential third-stage meeting depending on the outcome.
This will include an initial discussion around your experience, followed by a practical exercise designed to understand your approach to problem-solving and client delivery.
