Technician

MCS Group is delighted to recruit a Technician to play a key role in the operation of our clients state-of-the-art wastewater treatment and water recycling facility.

You will help treat water used on site so it can be safely discharged or recycled.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in engineering, manufacturing, utilities or process operations.

What will you do?
- Check and operate the plant's equipment and computer control systems.
- Take water samples and carry out routine tests.
- Identify problems and respond to alarms.
- Complete basic maintenance and equipment checks.
- Work with contractors on repairs and improvements.
- Keep accurate records and follow safety and environmental procedures.

What do you need?
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, utilities, process operations or wastewater treatment.
- A HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Operations or Process Technology.
- Good practical problem-solving and computer skills.
- A strong understanding of health and safety.
- The ability to work independently and within a team.
- A full UK driving licence.

Previous experience in water treatment would be helpful, but relevant experience from other industries will also be considered.
