Supply Planning & Inventory Management Lead

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Supply Planning & Inventory Management Lead for our client, a leading organisation based in Newry. This is a key leadership role responsible for supply planning, S&OP, inventory management and operational procurement across a complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply planning, inventory strategy and the monthly S&OP process.
• Translate demand forecasts into capacity-aligned supply and production plans.
• Oversee manufacturing schedules, operational procurement and material availability.
• Drive inventory optimisation, balancing service levels, working capital and supply risk.
• Lead planning governance, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and develop a multi-functional team of approximately 23 employees.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of supply.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply and demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, IBP and RCCP.
• Experience in inventory management, production planning and operational procurement.
• Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and supply planning systems.
• APICS/ASCM, CIPS or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.
