MCS Group has been retained by a scaling technology business as they look to appoint a Site Lead to take responsibility for the leadership, performance and continued growth of their Belfast operation.

This is a senior leadership position with broad responsibility across people, operations, customer delivery and business performance. Working closely with the CEO and wider executive team, the Site Lead will play a key role in shaping how the organisation scales while building a high-performing and highly engaged local team.

The Role

The Site Lead will act as the senior leader for the Belfast operation, providing clear direction across teams while ensuring the site delivers against wider company objectives.

This role will suit an experienced technology or operational leader who is comfortable operating strategically while remaining close enough to the day-to-day business to make things happen.

The Person

We are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on leadership style. You will be comfortable setting direction, making decisions and holding teams accountable, but equally passionate about building a strong culture and creating an environment where people can perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities

Site Leadership & Strategy

  • Act as the senior leadership presence for the Belfast operation.
  • Translate company strategy into clear priorities and objectives for local teams.
  • Work closely with the executive team on growth plans, organisational priorities and operational performance.
  • Ensure strong alignment and collaboration between Belfast and wider business functions.
  • Represent the site internally and help build its profile and influence across the organisation.

Operational Performance

  • Take ownership of operational performance across the site.
  • Develop scalable processes, systems and ways of working as the business continues to grow.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and commercial performance.
  • Establish and monitor meaningful KPIs and operational metrics.
  • Ensure teams have the resources, structure and support required to deliver effectively.

People & Culture

  • Lead, mentor and develop senior leaders and managers across the Belfast team.
  • Create an environment that attracts, develops and retains high-performing people.
  • Champion employee engagement, communication and collaboration across the site.
  • Support workforce planning and organisational design as teams grow.
  • Build a strong culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.

Customer & Service Delivery

  • Ensure consistently high standards across customer implementation, service delivery and support.
  • Work closely with customer-facing, product and commercial teams to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Ensure operational teams are structured to support both customer retention and future growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, consistency and scalability across service delivery.

Business Systems & Transformation

  • Champion the adoption of systems, automation and AI that can improve business performance.
  • Work with technology and product leadership to improve internal processes and tools.
  • Use data, reporting and analytics to support better operational decision-making.
  • Lead or support wider business transformation initiatives where required.

Experience Required

  • Significant experience in a senior leadership role within a technology, SaaS, professional services or scaling business.
  • Previous experience as a Site Lead, General Manager, Operations Director, VP Operations, COO or similar would be highly relevant.
  • A strong track record of leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience supporting an organisation through growth, transformation or organisational change.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a good understanding of operational performance.
  • Ability to influence effectively at executive level while building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills.

Salary

  • Up to £130,000 with a package which includes equity.
