The Opportunity

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an established global software company as they seek to appoint a Senior UI Engineer to join their Belfast-based engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly formed team working on a greenfield product within the cybersecurity space. With the product still in its early stages, you'll have a genuine opportunity to influence technical decisions, architecture and the overall direction of development.

You'll be joining a collaborative engineering environment that encourages new ideas, technical ownership and autonomy, with the opportunity to make a real impact on a business-critical product.

The Role:

As a Senior UI Engineer, you'll play a key role in taking a new product from proof of concept through to a fully developed, production-ready solution. Working closely with backend engineers, designers and product stakeholders, you'll be responsible for building intuitive, responsive and high-performing user interfaces.

You'll have the freedom to contribute to technology choices, shape frontend architecture and establish best practices, while working within a relaxed and supportive engineering culture.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience with JavaScript / TypeScript

• 3+ years' commercial experience with React

• Experience with modern component libraries such as React Aria, Radix UI or similar

• Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design and accessibility
