Senior Software Engineer (.NET/Angular)

I'm working with an exciting software start-up in Dublin that is continuing to grow its engineering team and is looking to appoint a Senior Software Engineer.

This is a hands on role for someone who enjoys building software, improving existing systems and working closely with other engineers to deliver new product features.

The company is still at a stage where strong engineers can have a real impact, so they are looking for someone experienced who can come in, contribute quickly and help raise the technical standard of the product as it grows.

(Hybrid - Dublin City Centre - 3 days per week on-site)

The role...

You'll work across a modern .NET and Angular environment, building and improving customer facing software within a microservices based architecture.

Responsibilities...

• Design, build and maintain software across backend and frontend applications
• Develop new features from design through to production
• Work hands-on with C#/.NET and Angular
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions
• Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases
• Improve code quality, testing and release readiness
• Use TDD and strong automated testing practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to long-term fixes
• Work closely with Product, QA and DevOps
• Help improve performance, scalability and reliability
• Contribute ideas around modernisation and technical improvement
• Take ownership of work rather than simply delivering assigned tickets

About you...

You'll likely be an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in .NET development and modern web applications.

You'll ideally have experience with:

• C# / .NET
• Angular
• Microservices
• REST API development
• SQL databases
• TDD
• Unit, integration and automated testing
• Modern software architecture
• Cloud environments
• CI/CD
• Production troubleshooting
• Building and shipping software products

Experience modernising legacy applications or moving monolithic systems towards more modern architectures would be particularly useful.
