Senior HR Officer

HR Officer - County Armagh - Permanent

MCS Group is exclusively partnering with a well-established organisation as they recruit a Senior HR Officer on a permanent basis.

The role:

You will provide generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a varied, hands-on role covering employee relations, absence management, recruitment, payroll queries, HR systems and reporting.

The main responsibilities:

• Provide first-line HR guidance to managers and employees.
• Support absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance processes.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
• Respond to general HR and payroll queries.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data.
• Prepare HR reports and key workforce metrics.
• Support improvements to HR systems and processes.
• Contribute to employee engagement, learning and wider HR projects.
• Build effective relationships across the organisation.

The successful candidate:

• Previous experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor or Generalist HR role.
• Practical experience managing employee relations matters within Northern Ireland, including absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Strong working knowledge of Northern Ireland employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience across recruitment and the wider employee lifecycle.
• Confidence using HR information systems.
• Strong organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
