Sales Engineer

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a growing engineering business based in Newry, to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer with a background in Mechanical, Chemical, Process or Environmental Engineering who enjoys developing technical solutions and wants to build their commercial experience.

The Role

• Develop technical solutions for wastewater and effluent treatment projects.
• Review customer specifications, process data and technical requirements.
• Select and size equipment to meet customer needs.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations and project costings.
• Produce preliminary drawings and technical documentation.
• Support customer meetings, presentations and occasional site visits.
• Work alongside sales, design and engineering teams to ensure successful project handovers.

What I am looking for:

• Degree, HND or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Environmental or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• An interest in developing customer-facing and commercial engineering skills.
