Are you an experienced Engineer with a passion for operational safety, training and the energy sector? This Safety & Training Engineer role may be your next move!
This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation at the heart of Northern Ireland's energy transition and play a key role in developing safe, skilled and resilient transmission system operations.
You will play a key role within a Control Centre Operations team, supporting the training, competence and safety of personnel responsible for the operation of the Northern Ireland transmission system.
As Senior Safety & Training Engineer, you will develop and deliver operational training, support competence and certification programmes, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of safety, processes and procedures across Control Centre operations.
You will need:
- Degree in Engineering, or HNC/HND with relevant industry experience.
- Understanding of the principles of safe, secure, reliable, and economic power system operation.
- A minimum of four years' relevant engineering or industry experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timescales.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
It would be advantageous if you had:
- Knowledge of power system operations and electrical safety rules within electricity, utilities or the wider energy sector.
