Project Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Project Manager for our client, a specialist mechanical contractor delivering major data centre and mechanical fit-out projects across Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical professional to take ownership of project delivery, commercial performance and client relationships, with projects primarily based in Finland and Germany.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from inception through to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to required standards.
• Coordinate project teams, procurement, subcontractors and programme delivery.
• Oversee forecasting, cost control, commercial performance and monthly CVRs.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation measures to prevent delays.
• Coordinate temporary and permanent design requirements.
• Manage client, subcontractor, supplier and trade relationships.
• Chair project meetings and ensure compliance with contract, CDM and company requirements.
• Provide leadership and effective problem-solving throughout project delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing projects within a mechanical contracting environment.
• Experience delivering large-scale mechanical projects, ideally within data centres.
• Strong understanding of contracts, commercial management, cost control and forecasting.
• Experience with programming, procurement, design and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• NVQ Level 4 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• SMSTS/SSSTS at manager level with CSCS, CSR or equivalent skills card.
• HNC/HND/degree, CEng, MICE or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to European project locations, primarily Finland and Germany.

• Must hold an Irish or EU passport to facilitate travel and the right to work across European project locations.
