Looking for your next part-time temporary opportunity in procurement? Join a busy Finance and Procurement team where you'll take a lead role in managing procurement activity, supporting contract management, and providing expert advice to internal stakeholders across a wide range of procurement requirements.
The Role:
· Take a lead role in developing and managing procurement plans, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements.
· Manage a portfolio of contracts, ensuring value for money and compliance with procurement legislation and procedures.
· Provide day-to-day advice on procurement policy and determine the most appropriate procurement routes, including framework agreements and collaborative opportunities.
· Support market research and the development of tender specifications to maximise procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, identifying opportunities to generate savings and additional value.
· Collect, analyse and report spend and market data, identifying areas of non-compliant spend and supporting corrective actions.
· Contribute to continuous improvement, procurement training, risk management, and the development of procurement processes, tools and systems.
The Person
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential:
· Possess or be working towards full membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
· Experience working in a procurement role, with good knowledge and understanding of procurement and contract law and regulations.
· Experience drafting procurement policies, guidance and training.
· Experience applying procurement procedures, including tenders and quotes.
· Experience working effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to establish, maintain and support organisational outcomes.
