MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading transportation and freight company to recruit a Polish-speaking Credit Controller to join their established finance team.

No previous credit control or finance experience is required - this is an excellent opportunity for a Polish-speaking administrator or customer service professional looking to develop a career in finance!

The Company:

This organisation is a leading transportation business specialising in freight ferry services, providing a one-stop shop for hauliers across the industry. With a turnover of approximately £90 million and ambitious plans for future growth, the business offers an excellent opportunity to join a successful and expanding organisation.

You will be joining an established finance team of over 20 people, working within a collaborative credit control function.

The Rewards:

As the successful Polish-Speaking Credit Controller, you will receive:

• Competitive base salary;

The Role:

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, the Credit Controller will be responsible for:

• Managing a ledger of approximately £400,000, chasing outstanding payments and ensuring accounts are kept up to date;

• Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies;

• Handling customer queries via telephone and email, including communication with Polish-speaking customers;

• Working across a varied ledger, with responsibility for accounts of different values;

• Building and maintaining relationships with customers to support timely payment;

• Other duties as outlined in the full job description.

The Person:

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Fluent in Polish, both written and verbal;

• Previous experience in an administrative, customer service or office-based role;

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload;

• Confident using Microsoft Office and general IT systems.

Importantly, previous credit control or finance experience is not essential. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into a finance career.
