People & Culture Partner - County Antrim

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and long-established Northern Ireland manufacturing business in the appointment of a People & Culture Partner.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of the people function within a successful and growing organisation, working closely with its leadership team while remaining visible and accessible to employees.

The organisation

Operating for over 50 years, the business has built an excellent reputation within its sector and is experiencing an exciting period of sustained growth.

The company currently employs approximately 100 people and has continued to grow in a consistent and well-managed way. With several significant new contracts secured, this is an excellent time to join the organisation and support its next stage of development.

The role

As People & Culture Partner, you will act as the trusted first point of contact for employees and managers across the business.

You will manage a broad range of day-to-day HR activity while helping to strengthen employee engagement, internal communication and the overall employee experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
  • Providing practical advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Supporting employee relations matters, including grievances, absence, wellbeing and work-life balance
  • Maintaining professional, confidential and compliant HR processes
  • Coordinating employee engagement and internal communication initiatives
  • Supporting the continued development of the employee benefits package
  • Building strong relationships and gaining buy-in across a varied workforce
  • Working closely with the leadership team on wider people priorities
  • Liaising with external HR consultants and professional advisers when required

The successful candidate

The successful candidate will be a credible and resilient HR professional who is comfortable working with autonomy and managing a varied workload.

You will be approachable enough to build trusted relationships with employees, while having the confidence to challenge appropriately and provide clear guidance to managers.

You will ideally have:

  • Broad generalist HR experience, including employee relations
  • CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent practical experience
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • The confidence to influence and gain buy-in from long-serving employees
  • Experience gained within a growing or evolving organisation
  • Manufacturing or similar operational experience would be advantageous but is not essential

This position could suit an established HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or HR Officer seeking greater ownership and visibility within a growing business.

What's on offer?

  • Salary of £40,000-£45,000
  • Enhanced employer pension contribution
  • Private healthcare
  • Group income protection
  • Employee Assistance Programme and wider health benefits
  • Hybrid working
  • Flexibility to consider a compressed or 4.5-day working week
  • The opportunity to take ownership of the people agenda within a growing organisation
