MCS Group is partnering with Maritime Belfast Trust to recruit a Marketing and Communications Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced marketing and communications professional to play a key role in promoting one of Belfast's most iconic destinations and helping shape the future of the city's historic waterfront.

About Maritime Belfast Trust

Established in 2007, Maritime Belfast Trust is a registered charity dedicated to preserving and promoting Belfast's rich maritime heritage and delivering Belfast's historic waterfront as a vibrant, accessible heritage destination.

The Trust was instrumental in the delivery of Titanic Belfast, an internationally recognised visitor attraction which has welcomed more than 10 million visitors and generated significant economic impact for the city.

Since then, Maritime Belfast Trust has continued to deliver ambitious projects across Belfast's waterfront, including the restoration of the former Harland & Wolff Drawing Offices, the preservation of the SS Nomadic, the Great Light, public realm improvements and the development of the award-winning Maritime Mile.

The Trust also plays a leading role in animating Belfast's waterfront through festivals, events, community initiatives and a wide-ranging programme designed to connect local people and visitors with the city's maritime heritage.

The Role

As Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for raising the profile of Maritime Belfast Trust and the Maritime Mile across Belfast and Northern Ireland.

  • Managing media enquiries and preparing press releases, statements and other communications for media and key influencers.
  • Developing strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, sponsors, funders and community groups.
  • Organising familiarisation visits for press, trade, political and sectoral audiences.
  • Managing external PR, graphic design, web and print suppliers, ensuring quality, value for money and brand consistency.
  • Managing the Trust's photographic library and commissioning new imagery where required.
  • Identifying opportunities to raise the profile of the Chair, Chief Executive and Board of Trustees.
  • Producing the Trust's monthly newsletter.
  • Supporting business and community engagement initiatives across the waterfront.
  • Managing and delivering corporate events, launches, festivals and wider promotional activity.
  • Undertaking research with key stakeholder groups and waterfront users to understand perceptions and identify opportunities for improvement.
