Junior Implementation Consultant

MCS Group is partnering with a growing software company to recruit a Junior Implementation Consultant to join its expanding delivery team. Our client develops enterprise software that helps large organisations improve complex, data-heavy business processes. Following continued growth, they are looking for someone earlier in their career who wants to develop their skills across software implementation, data and software delivery.

The Role

As a Junior Implementation Consultant, you'll work alongside experienced consultants to help customers successfully implement and adopt the company's software.

You'll get involved across the implementation lifecycle, helping understand customer requirements, configure the platform, work with data, test solutions and support customers through training and go-live.

You'll take on responsibility early on for your own customers and implementation projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the delivery of software implementations for customers
• Helping gather and document customer requirements
• Configuring software and workflows around customer needs
• Working with customer data, including mapping, checking and validating information
• Supporting data migration and system configuration
• Testing solutions ahead of customer go-live
• Helping run customer workshops and implementation sessions
• Supporting customer training and product adoption
• Working alongside Product, Engineering and other internal teams
• Using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx or Power Automate
• Troubleshooting issues and helping customers resolve problems
• Learning how to manage software implementations from discovery through to go-live

About You

You don't need to have years of implementation experience. This could suit someone coming from software, technology, data, professional services or another client-facing environment who wants to build a career in technology consulting.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Some experience working with software, technology or data
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
• Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate or similar tools would be useful
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confidence communicating with customers and colleagues
• The ability to understand business problems and think through solutions
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• A genuine interest in technology and learning new systems
