Business Systems Project Manager

Location: Newry | Hybrid - 3 days on-site

An opportunity has opened for an experienced Business Systems Project Manager to join an established organisation in Newry as they expand their IT function and invest further in their project delivery capability.

With several key projects scheduled to commence in early 2027, the focus will be on delivering business systems implementations from end to end, working across ERP, CRM and other enterprise applications.

This role will suit someone who combines strong project delivery experience with a solid business analysis background - someone comfortable engaging stakeholders, understanding processes, gathering requirements and translating business needs into practical technology solutions.

The role

You will take ownership of projects from initial requirements and planning through implementation, testing, go-live and delivery of the expected business benefits.

Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, third-party suppliers and implementation partners, you will:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of business systems and application projects.
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies and project governance.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand current processes and requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and project requirements.
• Manage third-party software vendors and implementation partners.
• Support the implementation and expansion of ERP, CRM and other enterprise applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, system adoption and ways of working.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple projects and stakeholder groups.
• Ensure projects are delivered appropriately within a highly regulated environment.

What we're looking for

This isn't an entry-level project role. We are looking for someone with a strong track record across IT project delivery who is comfortable owning projects rather than simply coordinating them.

Ideally, you will bring:

• 5+ years' experience across IT, business systems or technology projects.
• Strong experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle.
• Previous delivery of off-the-shelf software/package implementations.
• Experience across ERP, CRM or wider enterprise business systems.
• Strong business analysis capability, particularly requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops.
• Experience managing suppliers, budgets, risks and project governance.
• The confidence to work with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Experience within pharmaceutical, manufacturing or another regulated/process-driven environment would be particularly valuable.
• PRINCE2, PMI or equivalent project management exposure/certification would be beneficial.

Experience with Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, enterprise applications or systems such as ERP, CRM, SCM, MES or LIMS would also be useful.
