IT Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Co. Tyrone
Salary: Around £32-000 -£36,000, depending on experience
Working pattern: Full-time, five days on site
An established international business is hiring an IT Infrastructure Engineer to help support its users, systems and network across multiple locations. This is a hands-on role for someone with a solid support background who wants to build broader infrastructure experience while working alongside an experienced IT team.
You'll handle day-to-day technical issues, keep core services running and contribute to infrastructure improvements. The environment includes Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtual servers, networking, backups and cloud services.

What you'll do

• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and end-user devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity and application issues through the IT service desk.
• Help maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs and network security controls.
• Assist with VMware, Azure, backup, disaster recovery and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain clear records of issues, systems and IT assets, escalating complex problems when needed.
• Provide technical support for time-sensitive business operations, including occasional additional hours when required.

What you'll bring

• At least three years' experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration or a broad technical support role.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
• An understanding of firewalls, VPNs, backups and recovery processes.
• A practical approach to solving problems and the confidence to support both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• The ability to work on site five days a week. A driving licence may be required if travel between sites forms part of the role.

Experience with VMware, Azure, Linux, SQL Server, SharePoint, VoIP or security monitoring would be useful, but you do not need to have worked with every system listed.
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5:30pm; Friday, 8:00am-4:15pm.
