IT Analyst

Belfast | Hybrid 2 days a week in office
£25,000-£35,000
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional-or a technically strong graduate-to gain broad, hands-on experience across IT support, identity and access management, equipment lifecycle management and foundational cybersecurity.
You will help ensure employees have the correct access, equipment and technical support while working closely with an experienced Security Analyst. The position offers genuine exposure to security operations, endpoint management, compliance and security tooling within a modern, cloud-first environment.

The Role

Identity and Access Management

• Provision and remove user accounts and system access across cloud-based platforms.
• Process access requests in line with approval workflows and least-privilege principles.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Complete periodic access reviews and help ensure permissions remain accurate.
• Maintain clear documentation covering system access and approvals.

Equipment and Asset Management

• Maintain an accurate inventory of laptops, tablets and mobile devices.
• Configure and prepare equipment for new employees.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, returns, repairs and reallocations.
• Track hardware assignments, warranties and the full equipment lifecycle.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers and delivery providers when required.

Security Support

• Provide backup support for routine security activities.
• Assist with security alert monitoring and escalate potential issues appropriately.
• Support endpoint protection, mobile device management and device compliance.
• Help track patching, MFA enforcement and password-policy compliance.
• Contribute to security procedures, audits, risk assessments and remediation activities.
• Support security-awareness initiatives, including phishing-simulation follow-up.

General IT Support

• Respond to and resolve internal IT support tickets.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software and user-access issues.
• Maintain internal documentation and knowledge-base articles.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive access, inventory and support activities.
• Support employees working across office-based and distributed environments.

What You'll Need

• Previous professional IT experience is preferred, although strong IT graduates will also be considered.
• Experience supporting Windows, macOS or cloud-first working environments.
• Exposure to platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack or Zoom.
• An understanding of user administration, identity and access management or employee onboarding and offboarding.
• An interest in endpoint management, device compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, organisational and written communication skills.
• The ability to manage responsibilities independently within a hybrid working environment.

Experience with tools such as Okta, endpoint protection platforms or mobile device management solutions would be advantageous but is not essential.
