Industrial Electrical Field Technician/Engineer

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering business to recruit an Industrial Electrical Technician/Engineer to join their team.

This is a varied, predominantly field-based role working across industrial machinery, electrical control systems and commissioning projects.

The Role
You will be responsible for installing, modifying, servicing, fault-finding and commissioning electrical systems on industrial machinery.
Projects will range from industrial control panels and fixed plant through to engine packages, generators, hydraulic equipment and 12V/24V DC control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and modify electrical systems on industrial machinery
• Wire motors, sensors, valves, actuators and field devices
• Install and modify control panels
• Fault-find AC and DC electrical systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on industrial equipment
• Support machine commissioning and start-up
• Carry out planned maintenance and electrical upgrades

What I am looking for:

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Technician
• Experience working with industrial machinery or electrical installations
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
• Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems
• Full UK driving licence
