HR Officer - Part-time

Are you looking to take the next step in your HR career within a supportive and growing organisation? We're seeking an HR Officer to join a growing team, providing broad administrative and generalist support across the employee lifecycle.

The role

As HR Officer, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of HR activity, supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, absence, performance and general HR administration. Working closely with employees, managers and the HR Director, you'll help ensure HR processes run smoothly while developing your knowledge and experience across the wider HR function.

The main responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across the HR function.
  • Support recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews and communicating with candidates.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including preparing employment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Support absence, probation, performance and employee relations processes.
  • Assist with routine investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes where required.
  • Coordinate Occupational Health appointments and other external providers.
  • Maintain training records, right-to-work checks and other HR documentation.
  • Assist with employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and HR projects.
  • Support the HR team with improving processes and systems.
  • Respond to day-to-day employee queries, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.

The ideal candidate

  • Previous experience in an HR administration or HR Officer role.
  • CIPD qualified or currently working towards.
  • Good understanding of Northern Ireland employment law.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive and keen to develop their HR career.
  • Comfortable working independently while also being part of a small HR team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
