MCS Group is delighted to be working with a leading Irish organisation to recruit an HR Officer on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a broad HR role supporting a busy Supply Chain function, with exposure across employee relations, recruitment, performance, absence, engagement and HR operations.

The Role

• Managing day-to-day HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, induction, probation and offboarding.
• Supporting managers with performance, absence, engagement and employee relations matters.
• Assisting with investigations, disciplinary meetings and hearings, including note-taking and drafting correspondence.
• Working with external recruitment agencies on resourcing requirements.
• Supporting payroll queries, HR KPIs and wider HR administration.
• Providing advice and guidance on HR policies and employment legislation.
• Supporting engagement, development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Acting as a point of contact for employees and maintaining accurate HR records.

What we're looking for

• Qualification in HR, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• CIPD qualification or relevant degree.
• Previous experience in a similar HR role.
• Good working knowledge of employment legislation.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work on your own initiative.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
• Flexible, team-focused approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
