HR Officer - Permanent - Belfast

The role:

You will be a key member of the HR team, supporting managers and employees across the business with a broad range of people-related matters. This role will focus on delivering an efficient and professional HR service, ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently while contributing to the overall employee experience.

The main responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers and employees on a range of people matters, including employee relations, absence management, performance, and policy queries.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and review of HR policies, procedures, and internal processes to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Support recruitment, on boarding, and employee life cycle activities, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and employees.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports to support decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Support the delivery of HR initiatives and projects relating to employee engagement, well being, learning and development, and organisational change.
  • Build effective working relationships across the business, providing practical support and promoting a positive and inclusive working environment.

The ideal candidate:

  • Hold a CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or have equivalent HR experience.
  • Previous experience working in a generalist HR role with exposure to employee relations and employment legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience supporting HR projects, process improvements, or wider people initiatives.
  • Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
