MCS Group is exclusively recruiting for an HR Officer on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation based in Belfast.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Officer looking to develop their generalist HR experience within a large, established organisation. You will join a supportive HR team and gain exposure across the full employee life cycle, with genuine opportunities to develop and progress your career.

The Role:

Working closely with the wider HR team and management across the business, you will be involved in a broad range of HR activity, including:

  • Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from creating and advertising vacancies through to interviews, contracts and pre-employment checks.
  • Coordinating onboarding and induction for new employees, including offer letters, contracts and HRIS administration.
  • Supporting managers with a range of employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary, capability, performance management and flexible working requests.
  • Managing and processing absence and leave, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintaining the organisation's HR systems and employee records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal processes.
  • Producing HR reports relating to areas such as new starters, absence and employee data.
  • Supporting leaver processes, including exit interviews and annual leave calculations.
  • Acting as a point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and general HR queries.
  • Supporting wider HR projects across areas including well-being, equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience in a generalist HR role, with exposure to recruitment and employee relations.
  • Holds CIPD Level 5 or is currently working towards it.
  • Has hands-on recruitment administration experience, including interview coordination, contracts and pre-employment checks.
  • Has strong communication skills and is comfortable working with colleagues and managers at all levels.
  • Takes a professional, discreet and resilient approach when handling sensitive HR matters.
  • Has a full driving licence, as occasional travel between sites is required.
