HR Operations Manager - Belfast - Permanent
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a large, well-established Northern Ireland organisation as they recruit an HR Operations Manager.
The role:
You will work closely with senior leaders, managers and trade unions, providing practical, commercially focused advice across employee relations, resourcing, workforce planning and organisational change.
The main responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and develop a team of HR and recruitment specialists.
- Oversee the delivery of recruitment, onboarding, restructuring, redeployment and headcount-control activity.
- Provide senior-level advice across complex employee relations, attendance management and industrial relations matters.
- Support succession planning and wider workforce-planning activity.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and operational improvements.
- Lead the people elements of organisational change and transformation programmes.
- Coach and support operational managers in the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Build effective relationships with senior leaders, employees, trade unions and key stakeholders.
- Produce high-level people reports, insight and recommendations for executive and board-level audiences.
The ideal candidate:
- A relevant third-level qualification alongside at least two years' experience leading the implementation of HR policies, initiatives or frameworks within a large organisation; or at least three years' equivalent experience without the qualification
- Experience supporting organisational restructuring and change.
- Experience leading and developing a diverse HR team.
- Strong employee relations experience and a sound understanding of Northern Ireland employment legislation.
- Experience coaching, developing and supporting operational, non-HR managers in the application of HR policies and procedures.
- Experience overseeing the end-to-end management of complex recruitment and resourcing activity.
- Experience working with trade unions and supporting industrial relations activity would be particularly beneficial.
- CIPD (desirable).
