HR Assistant
We're working with an established and growing organisation to recruit an HR Assistant to join their busy HR team. The role
As HR Assistant, you'll provide day-to-day support across the HR function, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and delivering an excellent experience for employees and managers. You'll support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll administration, reporting and a range of HR initiatives, while working closely with the wider HR team on continuous improvement projects.
The main responsibilities
- Support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee changes and offboarding.
- Coordinate recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and completing pre-employment checks.
- Prepare contracts, employment documentation and maintain accurate HR records and systems.
- Support payroll administration and employee benefits, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing a professional and responsive service to employees and managers.
- Assist with employee relations administration, training coordination and HR reporting.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives and company events.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience in an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator or similar HR support role.
- Good knowledge of HR administration across the employee lifecycle.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) or a relevant third-level qualification would be advantageous.
