MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading public sector organisation in their search for a Human Resources Advisor to join their Organisation Development team in Antrim.

The Role

As a Human Resources Advisor, you will provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of HR matters. You will work closely with the wider HR team to deliver a professional, responsive and customer-focused service.

The role will cover a broad range of HR activities, including:

• Providing first-line advice and guidance on HR queries and processes.

• Supporting recruitment and selection, including job adverts, shortlisting and interviews.

• Supporting managers with absence, attendance and employee relations matters.

• Preparing contracts, job offers and pre-employment documentation.

• Assisting with disciplinary, grievance and other HR processes.

• Maintaining accurate employee records and updating HR systems.

• Responding to HR queries and managing shared inboxes.

• Producing HR reports and supporting wider HR projects.

• Advising managers and employees on terms and conditions and HR procedures.

• Supporting the review and implementation of HR policies and processes.

The Person

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards this, or 4 years' relevant HR experience in lieu of the qualification.

• At least 2 years' HR experience providing first-line advice and support to employees and managers.

• At least 2 years' experience in recruitment and selection procedures.

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

• Good IT skills and experience using a range of computerised office systems.

• The ability to work accurately and effectively in a busy environment.

• A full current driving licence, or access to suitable transport where driving is not possible.
