We're partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit an HR Advisor to join their established HR team. From employee relations and performance management through to recruitment, engagement and absence, you'll have the opportunity to get involved across the full HR remit while working closely with managers at all levels.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will provide day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on employee relations, performance, attendance and employee engagement.
The key responsibilities:
- Providing practical HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of people matters.
- Supporting and managing employee relations processes, including disciplinary, grievance and investigation procedures.
- Advising managers on performance management, probation and attendance-related matters.
- Managing sickness absence cases, including long-term absence and referrals to Occupational Health.
- Supporting managers throughout the recruitment and selection process, from advertising through to interview and onboarding.
- Assisting with the development and delivery of HR-related training for managers and employees.
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives and wider people-focused projects.
- Reviewing and maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring they remain aligned with current employment legislation.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Responding to day-to-day HR queries and ensuring these are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
- Supporting payroll processes and providing relevant HR information when required.
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience working in a generalist HR environment.
- Experience within a manufacturing or fast-paced operational environment.
- Practical experience handling ER matters, including disciplinaries, grievances and investigations.
- A good understanding of current ROI employment legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to advise managers on HR matters.
- CIPD or HR qualification, or a relevant degree.
