Our client is seeking an ambitious, creative and commercially driven Head of Marketing to take a leading role in shaping and delivering the Group's marketing and communications strategy.

This is an exciting hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced marketing professional who can combine strategic thinking with strong execution. You will have responsibility for the full marketing function across digital, brand, content, subscriptions, communications and events, working collaboratively with teams throughout the business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing brand visibility, growing customer subscriptions, strengthening audience engagement and identifying new opportunities to support commercial growth.

The Role

As Head of Marketing, you will take ownership of the Group's marketing strategy and lead a range of high-impact campaigns and initiatives across multiple brands and business areas.

You will work closely with Commercial, Editorial and Digital teams to develop compelling campaigns, generate meaningful customer insights and ensure the Group's brands are consistently positioned across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Group's marketing and communications strategy, aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive customer subscription growth through acquisition, conversion and retention initiatives.
  • Manage the company's awards programme to enhance profile and reputation.
  • Lead digital marketing and web strategy, maximising engagement, performance and commercial impact.
  • Provide the Commercial team with effective marketing materials, content and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Editorial and Digital teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Monitor marketing performance, using data and insights to improve results and ROI.
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies and opportunities to strengthen marketing activity.
  • Maintain awareness of competitors, customer behaviour and market trends.
  • Increase brand visibility, audience engagement and commercial performance.
  • Champion the Group's brand value proposition and ensure consistency across all channels.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, E-commerce, Business or related field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in senior marketing, digital or e-commerce management.
  • Proven success growing online sales, leads, subscriptions or digital revenue.
  • Experience managing websites, e-commerce platforms and digital customer journeys.
  • Strong knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and SEO.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Managing marketing across multiple brands or business units.
  • Experience with subscriptions, CRM and marketing automation.
  • Experience managing web development and technical projects.
  • Knowledge of UX, CRO and basic HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with Power BI, Looker Studio or similar tools.
  • Experience in publishing, print, media or content-led businesses.
