FPS Operations Manager

MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading public sector organisation in their search for an FPS Operations Manager to join their team in Belfast.

The Role

As an FPS Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of business, payment and customer-facing services. You will work closely with senior management, lead teams and contribute to service development, operational improvements and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day management of business, payment and customer-facing services.
• Leading and managing teams to deliver against agreed targets, SLAs and objectives.
• Identifying opportunities for service improvement and supporting the development of new processes and services.
• Monitoring service performance, data quality, financial controls and operational risks.
• Managing and contributing to projects, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Building strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Analysing complex information and preparing reports, performance data and recommendations for senior management.
• Deputising for senior managers when required and taking ownership of defined operational areas.

The Person

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• A degree or professional qualification in Business, Finance or IT, alongside at least 2 years' relevant Payment, Finance or IT experience, including experience at management level; OR
• At least 5 years' relevant Payment, Finance or IT experience, including experience at management level.
• Proven experience managing or leading teams within a target-driven environment.
• Experience working with a diverse range of internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Experience developing or improving business processes and procedures.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• A demonstrable track record of delivering measurable improvements within an organisation.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
