Divisional Accountant - Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Divisional Accountant to join their finance function based in Belfast.

The Company:

Our client is a successful organisation operating across Northern Ireland and the wider UK. They are seeking an experienced Accountant to support financial reporting and performance across a number of businesses within their leasing division.

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a commercially focused role, working closely with senior leaders and operational teams to influence decision-making and drive financial performance.

The Rewards:

As the successful Divisional Accountant, you will receive:

• £45,000-£55,000 base salary;
• Annual bonus (10%);
• Flexible/Hybrid working (3 days office based);
• Company car;

The Role:

As the successful Divisional Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing monthly management accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet reviews;
• Analysing financial performance, profitability and working capital across the division;
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning;
• Business partnering with operational management to provide commercial financial insight;
• Ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting and effective month-end processes;
• Other duties as outlined in full job description.

The Person:

The successful Divisional Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent;
• Open to industry or accountancy practice background;
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen;
• Strong communication & stakeholder management experience.
