Data Engineer | Day Rate Contract

Dublin City Centre | 2 days onsite per week
4-month contract (Potential for Extension)

We're recruiting a Data Engineer to build and maintain reliable data pipelines supporting analytics, reporting and business decision-making.

You'll work with senior engineers, architects and analysts across a modern cloud data platform.

What you'll be doing

• Building ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL and cloud tooling.

• Integrating data from databases, REST APIs and files.

• Developing workloads using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Delta Lake.

• Implementing data validation, logging and error handling.

• Troubleshooting pipeline failures and improving data quality.

• Supporting testing, deployment and technical documentation.

What we're looking for

• 3-6 years' hands-on experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT or a similar role.

• Strong practical SQL and Python skills.

• Experience building and supporting production data pipelines.

• Working knowledge of cloud data services, ideally Azure.

• Familiarity with Git, code reviews and team development workflows.

• An understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience with PySpark, Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory or Power BI would be beneficial.
