Business Analyst - Salesforce CRM

Salary: £50,000-£60,000 + 10% bonus
Working pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office
Hours: Flexible around core hours of 10am-4pm
Function: Global Sales & Marketing
Role type: Individual Contributor

The opportunity

We're looking for a hands-on Business Analyst to join a Global Sales & Marketing function and play a key role in improving the systems, processes and data that sit behind a large-scale commercial organisation.

This isn't a BA role where you'll simply facilitate meetings, document what others decide and pass requirements onto another team.

We're looking for someone who wants to take genuine ownership.

You'll work directly with stakeholders to understand business problems, challenge requirements, translate those needs into practical solutions and stay involved through to delivery.

You'll be joining a small team covering Salesforce technical expertise, support and rollout responsibilities, while working with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance and other areas of the business.

Salesforce is at the heart of this role. You don't need to be a Salesforce Developer, but you should understand how CRM platforms support sales and customer processes and be comfortable working with Salesforce requirements, workflows, data and reporting. The underlying role specification places particular emphasis on Salesforce across requirements gathering, solution design, testing and support, as well as Lead-to-Cash processes.

What you'll be doing

You'll personally own business analysis activities across projects designed to make Sales & Marketing processes simpler, more scalable and more effective.

That could see you:

  • Gathering, analysing and challenging business requirements
  • Working directly with senior stakeholders to understand problems and identify solutions
  • Translating business requirements into clear requirements for technical teams
  • Supporting and improving Salesforce/CRM processes
  • Working across lead, opportunity, account and pipeline management
  • Supporting processes around pricing, quotations, channel/distribution data and approvals
  • Mapping existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement or automation
  • Supporting testing, including UAT, regression and end-to-end testing
  • Developing or shaping reports and dashboards to improve business visibility and decision-making
  • Working across CRM, reporting/data and ERP environments
  • Supporting integrations and data flows between enterprise systems
  • Helping ensure new solutions are successfully adopted by business users

There's also an opportunity to get involved with AI-enabled Sales & Marketing initiatives, including sales insights, account and pipeline information, knowledge access, user support and incorporating AI-driven enhancements into existing workflows.

The technology environment

There are three areas that are particularly relevant to this position.

Salesforce / CRM is the priority. We're looking for someone who has worked with or around Salesforce and understands how a CRM supports customer, sales and commercial processes.

Reporting & Data is another important part of the environment. Snowflake experience would be particularly attractive, although it isn't essential if you've worked with comparable reporting, analytics or data platforms.

You'll also interact with ERP systems. You don't need to be an ERP integration specialist, but you should understand what an ERP does and how it connects functions such as Sales, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain. Experience with SAP would be particularly relevant.

Additional exposure to SQL, Power BI or similar BI tools, APIs, integrations, data migration or enterprise data flows would also be useful. The wider specification specifically highlights Snowflake, BI/reporting tooling, SQL and experience working across integrated enterprise systems.

What we're looking for

The sweet spot is a hands-on Business Analyst with strong stakeholder management and communication skills, ideally coming from a Sales, Marketing, CRM or commercial systems environment.

You'll be polished and articulate enough to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, but still someone who enjoys getting into the detail and personally delivering the work rather than delegating it.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Strong hands-on Business Analysis experience
  • Good Salesforce / CRM experience
  • Experience gathering and owning requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence communicating with senior business stakeholders
  • Experience improving business processes
  • Exposure to reporting, analytics or data platforms
  • Ideally some Snowflake exposure
  • An understanding of ERP environments
  • Ideally some SAP knowledge or experience
  • Experience with testing and UAT
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

You don't need to be deeply technical across every platform.

Someone with strong Salesforce BA experience, excellent communication skills and basic ERP knowledge could be a much stronger fit than someone with extensive ERP experience but little exposure to Salesforce.
