Assistant Accountant

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a family-run business to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team in Armagh.

The Company

This successful and growing business has a strong reputation within its sector and has been established for over 30 years. With continued growth and expansion into new markets, they are looking to strengthen their finance function with an ambitious individual who is keen to develop their career within a close-knit team.

The Rewards

As the successful Assistant Accountant, you will receive:

• Salary of £32,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
• Flexibility around the working structure
• Study support
• 29 days' annual leave
• Early finish on Fridays
• On-site parking

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Daily sales invoicing and purchase ledger duties
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Supporting with analysis projects
• Assisting with management accounts

The Person

The successful Assistant Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Experience in an accountancy and finance setting
• Skilled across journals, trial balance and/or management accounts
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Keen to develop alongside a growing business
