Ryan Calvert

Ryan is a highly experienced recruitment professional with over 10 years of specialist expertise across the Island of Ireland. He oversees the strategic direction and growth of the HR, Sales, and Marketing divisions, partnering with hundreds of organisations as a trusted advisor to evaluate and deliver effective talent solutions.

Operationally, Ryan focuses on sourcing senior HR professionals across the region, including Chief People Officers, HR Directors, HR Managers, and HR Business Partners. He also recruits across specialist areas such as reward, talent acquisition, learning and development, and HR systems.

Ryan is CIPD Level 5 qualified and holds a degree in psychology, supported by a strong professional network within the Northern Ireland market. Ryan is also heavily involved with CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development, with MCS Group proudly serving as the headline sponsor of the CIPD Northern Ireland HR Awards for the past seven years, as well as sponsoring the Legal Island's Annual Review of Employment Law.

Before joining MCS Group, Ryan built early career experience in retail with Tesco while completing his education. Following university, he worked as an Employment Advisor, supporting unemployed adults in returning to the workforce, an experience that ultimately inspired his move into recruitment.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, as well as following football and his interest in horology.
