Paula McCalmont

Paula McCalmont joined MCS Group in January 2019 and is a Senior Recruitment Consultant specialising in the technology market. In her role, she works closely with both companies and professionals across the tech industry, supporting hiring across permanent and contract positions. Her day-to-day focus is on understanding the needs of clients and candidates, and managing the recruitment process in a way that is clear, efficient and well-matched.

Paula recruits across a broad range of technical roles, including Software Development, DevOps and Cloud; Data, AI and Machine Learning; QA and Testing; Infrastructure, Networking and IT Support; as well as Product, Business Analysis, Project Management, Account Management and Engineering Leadership. She partners with a mix of start-ups, established organisations and FDI companies, supporting everything from large-scale growth projects to individual hires.

She brings global recruitment experience across the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Paula is known for prioritising quality over quantity, keeping processes straightforward for clients and maintaining honest, transparent communication with candidates throughout.

Before joining MCS, Paula completed a degree in Communication and Public Relations, travelled across East Asia and spent time working in Australia. She also built early experience in events and customer service.

Outside of work, Paula enjoys travelling, attending concerts and getting stuck into a good book. She enjoys being social and is always keen to try something new.
