Management Accountant

A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant with manufacturing experience to support financial performance across a growing business while partnering closely with operational teams to drive efficiencies and informed decision-making.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, cost analysis and commercial insight, helping to improve profitability and support strategic business decisions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash flow reporting;
• Manage inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and manufacturing cost reporting;
• Deliver variance analysis and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cost control;
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities;
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight and enhance financial controls.

The Person

The successful Management Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent;
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment;
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting and financial analysis;
• Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills;
• Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement.
