Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Cybersecurity Startup - Dublin
We're partnering with a fast-growing cybersecurity startup in Dublin that is building a modern threat intelligence platform used to help organisations identify and respond to emerging cyber risks faster.
Over the past few years, the team has built an incredibly strong foundation of vulnerability and threat actor data, with tens of millions of historical events collected and enriched through their platform.
The next phase of growth is centred around machine learning and predictive intelligence.
The Challenge
The business is now looking to move beyond reactive threat intelligence and into predictive security insights.
The goal is to build machine learning capabilities that can help identify which vulnerabilities and threats are most likely to be exploited before they become active security incidents.
This is a genuinely high-impact opportunity to work on large-scale real-world datasets and help shape how predictive intelligence is delivered within a live cybersecurity product.
The Role
You'll join a highly autonomous product engineering environment working closely with leadership, engineering and R&D teams to design, prototype and productionise ML functionality.
You'll be involved in:
- Predictive risk modelling
- Pattern analysis and anomaly detection
- Training and improving ML models
- ML deployment, monitoring and optimisation
- Working with large-scale vulnerability and threat datasets
- Building customer-facing predictive functionality inside the platform
- Helping shape the company's long-term ML strategy
This is not a research role. Your work will go into production and directly influence customer outcomes.
Requirements
The team is relatively flexible on background, but they're ideally looking for someone with experience across:
- Python
- Machine Learning / Predictive Modelling
- Production ML systems
- Data science or large-scale data environments
- TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar frameworks
- ML Ops / model deployment experience
- Strong ownership and startup mentality
Experience within cybersecurity or threat intelligence would be beneficial but is not essential.
More important is someone who enjoys solving difficult problems, taking complete ownership, working autonomously and building things in fast-moving environments.
Package
- Up to €130k depending on experience
- Equity
- Pension
- Remote first / 1 day per week in the office
- High ownership and autonomy
If interested, feel free to apply or reach out directly.
