**Only Scrum Masters based in Northern Ireland will be considered for this contract**
My client is looking for a Scrum Master to support delivery within a new automation programme and team.
This role is embedded at squad level and focused on day‑to‑day execution. The Scrum Master will work closely with engineering, QA, and product to ensure work progresses smoothly from planning through to delivery, with clear ownership, early visibility of blockers, and minimal friction.
This is a hands‑on contract role suited to someone who is pragmatic, delivery‑focused, and comfortable operating in fast‑moving environments.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Flow & Execution
- Support the team to deliver against sprint commitments consistently.
- Help maintain a steady flow of work from "ready" through to "done".
- Encourage good work‑in‑progress discipline and realistic sprint planning.
Blockers & Dependencies
- Make blockers and dependencies visible early and clearly.
- Support the team in resolving dependencies promptly, including across time zones where required.
- Help prevent work stalling or silently dropping out of scope.
Scrum Ceremonies
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives in a way that supports delivery rather than process overhead.
- Adapt ceremonies as needed to ensure they add value for the team.
Clarity & Follow‑Through
- Help ensure decisions made in planning or design discussions translate into clear, owned backlog items.
- Promote shared understanding of priorities, scope, and "what done looks like".
Collaboration & Release Readiness
- Work closely with QA to support testing within the sprint rather than at the end.
- Help provide clear visibility on release readiness and any associated risks.
- Support smoother releases by reducing late surprises and last‑minute escalation.
Experience & Skills
Essential
- Proven experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery role within delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile delivery practices, applied pragmatically.
- Experience supporting teams in fast‑moving or evolving environments.
- Comfortable working with engineers, testers, and product roles on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, practical approach.
Desirable
- Experience working with workflow automation, integrations, or operational systems.
- Experience working with distributed or multi‑location teams.
- Background in environments using low‑code / no‑code platforms.
