MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading public sector healthcare organisation in their search for a Radiographer. This role is ideal for a qualified radiographer who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment, delivering high-quality imaging services and contributing to the continued development of patient-focused care.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality radiography services, ensuring examinations are performed safely, effectively and in line with professional, national and local standards.
  • Assess patients needs, provide clear explanations of procedures and ensure valid consent is obtained where required, supporting a positive patient experience.
  • Apply radiation protection principles at all times, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation including Ionising Radiations Regulations and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with HCPC standards and local governance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians and wider healthcare teams to support effective patient pathways and high standards of care.
  • Provide support, guidance and training to junior radiographers, students and radiography assistants, contributing to a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in clinical audits, service improvement initiatives and continuing professional development activities to maintain and enhance professional standards.
  • Manage clinical risks within your area of practice while promoting a culture of quality, safety and effective clinical governance.
  • Support the wider radiography service by working flexibly across departments and participating in shift rotas where required.

The Person

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Registered Radiographer with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Relevant experience within a radiography setting, with a strong understanding of clinical practice and patient care.
  • Knowledge and understanding of radiation protection requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, colleagues and wider healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while managing your own workload.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining professional competency.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy clinical environment.
