Quantity Surveyor Fit-Out

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Quantity Surveyor - Fit-Out for our client, a leading construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of fit-out projects, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, clients and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Take responsibility for project costs, ensuring works are delivered within budget and in line with commercial objectives.
• Prepare cost plans, valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, payments and commercial performance.
• Review drawings, specifications and contracts to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and wider project teams to ensure effective cost control.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and contractual requirements, providing regular reporting to senior management.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
• Support tender submissions and pre-construction activities as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or fit-out sector.
• Experience managing commercial aspects of fit-out, refurbishment or interiors projects.
• Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent).
• CSR/CSCS card required.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to projects as required.
