We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager (Band 6) to join our clients Digital Directorate. This role supports a large-scale, complex regional transformation initiative, established on behalf of HSC to procure and implement modern replacements for core Finance, Procurement, Logistics, HR, Pay, and Travel Management systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will support the Senior Manager and Cluster Lead to deliver a high-quality, best-practice Project Management function. You will play a central role in coordinating program activities, maintaining critical governance structures, and ensuring project milestones are successfully hit.

  • Operational Delivery & PMO Support: Embed and maintain Programme Management Office structures, processes, templates, and standards to ensure effective control of the programme.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain and monitor key programme artefacts including the programme plan, RAID registers, benefits realisation logs, and progress reports. Help plan, prepare, and deliver formal governance meetings.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direct line management, training, supervision, and onboarding support to a dedicated team of Project Administrators.
  • Information & Document Control: Oversee high-quality document management processes, repository structures (SharePoint), version control, and organisational branding standards.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Deploy expert communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external regional forums, and suppliers.
  • Standards Adherence: Ensure all relevant projects and documentation align strictly with organisational practices as well as PRINCE2/MSP project and programme management standards.

Who We Are Looking For

To be considered for shortlisting, you must meet one of the following educational and experience pathways:

  • A university degree plus 2 years of recent, relevant experience.
  • A full, current UK driving licence with access to a car (reasonable accommodations possible for applicants).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to interpret information and compile detailed reports for senior management.

Desirable Criteria

  • A recognised Project Management certification (such as PRINCE2 or equivalent).
  • Prior experience supporting complex projects or programmes valued over £100k.

  • Salary & Scale: Band 6 | £19.78/h 37H Week | Paid Weekly
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid & Flexi-time working possible after on-boarding.
