Mechanical Estimator

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Mechanical Estimator for our client in Lisburn. They are a well-established and growing engineering manufacturer.

Are you a detail-oriented engineering professional with a talent for analysing drawings, costing projects, and delivering accurate quotations?

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, technical drawings, and specifications
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for bespoke engineering projects
• Calculate material, labour, machining, and subcontract costs
• Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate project costing

About You

• Experience in an estimating, costing, manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, or mechanical manufacturing processes.

Desirable:

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience estimating fabricated steelwork, sheet metal, machined components, or bespoke engineering projects.
• Knowledge of ERP, MRP, or estimating software.
• Experience in using Solid works
