Infrastructure Lead/Systems Analyst

MCS Group is proud to be supporting a well-established semi-state organisation operating within a large-scale enterprise environment as they seek an experienced Infrastructure Lead / Systems Analyst to join their internal ICT team.

This is a broad infrastructure role suited to someone who enjoys combining hands-on technical delivery with project leadership, systems administration, cloud technologies, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and evolving a complex hybrid infrastructure estate across multiple locations.

The environment includes a strong Microsoft technology stack alongside enterprise networking, security, virtualisation, and cloud services.

(Hybrid - 3 days in office - Dublin)

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage enterprise infrastructure services across cloud and on-prem environments
• Lead infrastructure projects across systems upgrades, cloud migration, security improvements, and service optimisation
• Administer Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Azure AD, Teams, and Exchange Online
• Support virtual server environments, storage platforms, backup solutions, and network infrastructure
• Work across Windows and some Linux systems
• Contribute to infrastructure security hardening, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
• Manage patching, software deployment, monitoring, and operational support activities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, managed service providers, and external vendors
• Support procurement activities and supplier management processes
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Strong experience within enterprise infrastructure or systems administration environments
• Good knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies including Azure and Microsoft 365
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments
• Background working with technologies such as VMware, Veeam, networking, storage, and endpoint management tools
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects and working with third-party vendors
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Level 8 Qualification in relevant technical area
• Driving Licence in Ireland
• Kindly note that Stamp 4/EU Citizenship is required for this position

Desirable Experience

• Microsoft certifications
• Exposure to enterprise security tooling and infrastructure hardening
• Experience with Intune, virtualisation, backup technologies, or enterprise networking
• ITIL or project management exposure
• Experience working within larger multi-site environments
