HR Officer - 12-Month FTC - Belfast
Overview
MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting for an HR Officer on behalf of our client based in Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their experience across HR operations, employee relations, engagement, and people-focused initiatives within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
The main responsibilities
- Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Support recruitment activities, on boarding, probation reviews, employee changes, payroll, and off boarding processes.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Support performance management, absence management, employee well being, and engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR records, prepare HR reports, and monitor key HR metrics.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees, providing support and guidance on HR-related matters.
- Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across the business.
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate
- Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience in a similar HR role.
- Experience supporting employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Good understanding of NI employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites when required.
- Exposure to HR projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Experience in fast paced or multi-site environments.
- Experience working closely with operational or supply chain teams.
