This HR Officer position offers the chance to join a highly regarded Construction business, on an initial 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, supporting a broad range of people-focused initiatives.

The Role

As an HR Officer, you will provide comprehensive support across the employee lifecycle, partnering with managers and stakeholders to deliver a high-quality HR service. You will support recruitment and onboarding activities, coordinate learning and development programmes, maintain employee records, and contribute to key HR projects while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, and liaising with candidates, agencies, and hiring managers.
  • Prepare employment contracts and ensure all pre-employment checks and documentation are completed.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including inductions and new starter reviews.
  • Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and employee feedback.
  • Monitor training compliance, identify development needs, and arrange external training where required.
  • Support the delivery of internal learning and development initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation of HR reports and workforce data for senior management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
  • Prepare and communicate HR updates and departmental reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and HR best practice.
  • Support wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • CIPD qualification, or Third-level qualification in HR, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience within a HR Generalist position.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced industry,
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
