HR Generalist
We're partnering with a growing transport and logistics business to recruit an experienced HR Generalist. This is a newly created role within an expanding HR team, designed to support significant business growth and a high volume of hiring activity across multiple sites. Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll take ownership of recruitment and onboarding activity while also supporting employee relations matters and workplace investigations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced recruitment, building relationships, and playing a key role in a growing organisation.
The role
As HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activity across a range of operational roles, supporting the onboarding process, and assisting with employee relations matters. Working closely with managers across the business, you'll help attract and retain talent, support HR projects, and contribute to the continued development of the HR function.
The main responsibilities
- Manage high-volume recruitment campaigns across operational and technical roles.
- Source and engage candidates through a variety of channels and networking methods.
- Coordinate interviews, offers, onboarding, and induction processes.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers and provide recruitment guidance.
- Support employee relations matters, including investigations and case management.
- Maintain accurate recruitment and HR records.
- Assist with HR projects and process improvements.
- Support the implementation of new HR systems and technology.
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation and company policies.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the HR function.
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience within a HR Generalist or HR Advisor role.
- Strong background in high-volume recruitment and talent attraction.
- Experience supporting investigations and employee relations matters.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
- Resilient, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and relationship-building skills.
- Experience within transport, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with ATS or HR systems would be advantageous.
