Group Cost Accountant - Londonderry/Derry

MCS Group are delighted to be partnered with a successful and well-established manufacturing business with an international footprint is seeking to appoint a Group Cost Accountant to join its finance team.

The Company:

Our client is a global manufacturer within the healthcare packaging space. Reporting into the finance leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate product costing, financial analysis, and management reporting across the business.

This role would suit an experienced Cost Accountant with a strong manufacturing background who enjoys analysing data, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions.

The Rewards:

As the successful Group Cost Accountant, you will receive:

• £45,000 - £50,0000 + extensive benefits;

The Role:

Reporting directly to Financial Controller, the Group Cost Accountant will be responsible for:

• Prepare and maintain accurate product costing across multiple manufacturing sites;
• Analyse manufacturing costs, margins, and variances to support business performance;
• Produce detailed financial reports and cost analysis for senior management;
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting activities;
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements
• Other duties as outlined in full job description.

The Person:

The successful Group Cost Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Open to Qualified, Qualified by Experience or Part-Qualified;
• Relevant industry experience;
• Strong IT skills;
• Strong communication skills.
